Emergency Medicine Doctors - Bedford, TX

"I've had Dr. Prescott as my PCP for nearly 2 years and have never met him. I used to come in and see his PA, Alicia. She was wonderful and really on top of things. Recently, my specialists have had trouble getting referrals from the office. I went in person and requested referrals as well. Additionally, when I saw them last week, the 2 medications for my acute illness were not sent to the pharmacy. The following day, I waited at the pharmacy, and the receptionist was able to get the provider to send one medication. It's a week later, and I just spent all morning visiting them in person then waiting at my pharmacy, calling Dr. Prescott's office, then finally having them prescribe the medication I needed a week ago. I still can't hear out of one ear because I wasn't able to start this medication on time. Their delay in sending a referral to my psychiatrist means I have been unable to seek mental health care that I utilize weekly otherwise. The provider is a female, not Dr. Prescott, but I can't recall her name. Since I've seen her, I can no longer recommend this office. When Alicia worked there, I'd tell everyone else in Denton to visit, but now I don't recommend it. I'm now looking for a new PCP so I can see someone that will prescribe medications and send referrals in a timely manner."
