During a minor tooth filling, a very rough grinding device caused my tooth to have much pain. After that weekend came back for a check-up due to the pain, they said pain is common and gave me a tube of Sensidyne toothpaste. I left out of town for 2 weeks during which time experiencing much pain to the point I could hardly eat. Eventually I pulled half the  tooth out with my fingers and felt no more pain. After returning home and making an appt. they blamed it on me, but looking at the X-ray, from the check-up,  they clearly acknowledged a crack that wasn't there before. They denied damaging my tooth. So ... I had to look for another Dentist. I did not appreciate their laughing and cackling while performing procedures that deserve their careful attention.
