I'm new in town and need a new therapist and prescriber. I found a therapist, and called Dr. Reilly to see if he would be my prescriber. He said he would only take me on if I attended WEEKLY counseling sessions. I've never heard of such a thing. After reading the reviews, I'm glad I said no.
> Going to see him would be an absolute last resort.. > This is going to be a bit long but I typed my.. "experience" up to a friend of mine who wanted to know how it went and well... I figured it would be best to post it on here. If it warns off even ONE person then I did my job. >I didn't get the best vibes off the guy. One.. sure, I got there literally a whole two minutes past the time.. I abhor being in the city... but I went into the first door... tried to get into the second which was locked. He heard me, was on the phone and give me the "hang on a second" finger. > His outfit? Ho. Lee. S***. Think of those puffy white pirate shirts... just a bit less puffy.. and fucking METALLIC SILVER. HE ALSO HAD F****** MATCHING SHOES. I pressed forward. He got me into the waiting room..... which I honestly think if he could've done shag carpeting, he would.. but it was also not very good looking carpet. This is why you use dark carpets... not BRIGHT F****** YELLOW. So many things were yellow. Especially the doors. But seriously, the entire place screamed 80s, with him being the ring leader. > Still, I kept going. I wanted to find out if he truly was in network so we'd moved into the office area... which was also atrocious... zero computer either. Did I mention the paper I "filled out" which I barely filled out was my name, address, number, work number, birthday, and SSN? Like literally less than half the page. > So he'd called the insurance company and it took forever.. finally got to a representative and the entire time there I'm just like .......I want to disappear. I didn't know that doctors could do this but he asked the rep about my deductible and my OOP.. which total add to like.. 11k which is ridiculous [but thankfully I also have AFLAC stuff so if things really go down I'll have that]. He asked the rep if I had a health savings account but I was starting to zone out. He eventually got off the phone- did I mention he was writing down different numbers about my deductible and whatnot on a notepad of his?- and he had asked me how much I had in my savings and I was like "like $50" and his eyes bugged out. > ....Really dude? Yes, fifty bucks. He was like you serious? Or something. Basically that he couldn't believe there was that "little" in there. ..When I've only had this insurance- which I'd told him- for about a month. I'm sorry, do people put 500$ in their health savings account every pay period? > I didn't say that but still. So he asked me what I wanted to do and I was like "I'm going to head on out". He asked why and I said "I just don't think we're a good fit".... he asked me why I thought that and I gave some vague "I hate driving in the city" story which is true.. plus the part about the toll and that bullcrap.. but yeah. I kinda just blew him off then smoked out of there.
