Please consider another surgeon It is 11 mos. since surgery and I still do not have complete feeling in my upper under arm as this person damaged nerves during surgery. I have been told by another surgeon that the feeling at skin level will not return. I have gone to physical therapy which helped remove the cording (scar tissue) and relieve the fluid margins around the seroma which developed after surgery but it did not help the seroma itself. During surgery he had difficulty with closing the wound and with a routine sentinel node biopsy. I started out with a grade 1 tumor (no lump) and DCIS which only showed up during a routine mammogram. Now I have a fluid lump (seroma) and an upper underarm with lack of feeling. He is, however, very thorough with explanations and spending time with you during visits and providing test results just, in my opinion, not good as a surgeon. Please think twice about hiring this doctor.
