Was our on call pediatric provider in the hospital after delivery and performed my son's circumcision. Procedure was not done correctly leaving us to deal issues that could to lead to future infection risks, which the reason for the procedure in the first place. This procedure being done incorrectly will require another surgery to correct this issue, which we have had recommended by two other providers. This surgery requires seeing a separate urology specialist as well the requirement of using anesthesia. There has been NO accountability taken by anyone in this process. We are, facing the stress of putting a infant through a surgical procedure and a large bill for us to cover to fix a procedure that was done incorrectly by the provider in the first place. I would recommend to other new parents to avoid using this provider for circumcision.
Did our son's circumcision, which we get to have redone, which is now a full-blown surgery. We have sought 2 outside opinions and, despite these, the provider & hospital refuse to take accountability in the matter. Our son has an immune deficiency so any procedure or surgery carries great risk, and this has caused incredible amounts of stress on our family, not to mention we are now left financially responsible for their error(s). If you are offered to do your circumcision in Sanford hospital after delivery by this provider, I would strongly recommend you request an alternative provider.
