Oral Surgeon - Chicago, IL

"My daughter had four impacted wisdom teeth which needed to be removed. We visited the Joliet office on 10/4/16 for x-rays and evaluation. All four wisdom teeth were removed on 11/23/16. The procedure went very well and she did not have any complications. It appears Dr. Babiuk does excellent work. Our issue is with the office policies. Our dental insurance was verified on our 10/4/16 visit. When we arrived on 11/23/16 the office insisted on a payment of $650.00 before they would do the procedure. I put the charge on my credit card on 11/23. The office staff said they would issue a refund after they received payment from my insurance. Aetna issued full payment of all claims on 2/9/17, after many delays for missing x-rays and other issues. It is now 19 weeks after the procedure and I am still waiting for my refund. The refund amount is between $165 to $200. I call the office an am told the refund will go out next week. This has happened for several weeks. I am sure I will not be paid interest on the money that I am owed. Must be nice to be paid by the insurance company and then keep the customers deposit money too. "
