Primary Care Doctors - Foley, AL

"I was in the office for over 4 hours my first visit. Needless to say, we are already looking for another doctor."

"I called Dr., McLeod’s Office, to ask if he could see me for insomnia, I was told yes, and so I made an appointment. On the day of my appointment I waited for 2 ½ hours on a day when they had 3 patients in the waiting room ahead of me. This was my first time seeing him, so I filled out all of the paperwork and gave them $100.00 cash because I do not have insurance. When the Dr. finally saw me the nurse came in and took my blood pressure and heart rate. And then the Dr. came in to examine me and asked me what I was here for. After telling him that I was having problems sleeping, he said that he does not treat any type of sleep disorders, and that I should have gone to the “walk in clinic” down the street, and then sent me on my way. As I was leaving I asked the intake nurse/receptionist for my money back, since I was told that he could treat me for insomnia, but he does not treat ant type of sleep disorders. They refused, saying that because I filed out paperwork and he took my vitals, that their fee was earned, I proceeded to dispute this (Not aggressively but I was adamant), because this is wholly unfair. So the receptionist actually threatened to call the police (I was actually with my mother so I know I was not being more than a little rude). After this, I left and I saw a police car go by, so I called them (the police) and the dr.’s office did actually call them. So I told my story and he said no big deal don’t worry about it… So if this is how I was treated it was worth the $100.00 not to become a patient, and to be able to warn others by sharing my story… hope it helps… have a nice day "

"Tiffany was very nice, we started with a little “rocky” start. I waited for 90 minutes before being seen. I believe if you are going to be that far behind a patient should at least be checked on and informed of the very long wait. This was the first time I had seen her due to my Dr. being out of the office. She never said a word about being so late and just started talking. I asked her to introduce herself before giving me instructions. She was thorough, addressed my concerns and we finished on a good note. I would see her again, however as a patient, whether Dr. or Nurse should respect a patient’s time and at least address why the long wait that day. "

"Dr. Hoffman and her pathetic staff are a big joke....they lose you files , forget to call in meds to pharmacy and cxl. your appt. a hour before you are to be there. And when you tell then that you are not pleased ,then they refuse to see you again.....because they are NOT going to change !! They did not need to tell me because I had no intention of going back ! "
