"Dr. Holloway has been my OBGYN for the last decade. I love her because she if very to the point. she wont sugar coat anything but will make sure you understand everything that is going on. She never dismisses any of my questions (and there are PLENTY). She will actually sit down and talk to you rather than zooming in and zooming right back out like other doctors do. I love that level of attention but unfortunately this causes long wait times. You have to remember this is a small practice and she takes her time with everybody. So plan to wait but relax an know you'll actually get to talk to Dr. Holloway. \r
Her staff is great as well! When i has question and issues and Dr Holloway was out of town, the staff took care of me. \r
I'll keep coming back as long as this practice is here!"
"After my other gynecologist retired (I had seen him for over 10 years), I was forced to find someone else. When I finally found Dr. Kirby, I was very relieved because he was willing to listen and help me, just like my previous gynecologist. "
"Let me start by saying my experience with Dr. Dowdy as a patient was great. The problem is the lady that schedules appointments. She is extremely rude and interrogating. Long story short I was a patient of his for years but haven't been seen for four years. A couple of times I saw his former partner when he wasn't available. Office employee says I "left him" so she has to ask him if it's OK for me to come back. I never realized I "left him", but OK. Never called me back, so I left another message because they never answer the scheduling phone number. I gave up and scheduled with another doctor. It's a shame because I really like Dr. Dowdy but this is unacceptable and reading other reviews it sounds like I'm not the only one."
"I have been a patient of Dr. Victores for about 25 years and I love him dearly. I am so excited that although I have switched insurance providers he is in network. I can't wait to schedule my appointment. Dr. V's bedside manner is by far the best and he has a winning personality. The whole staff listens and are attentive to my needs."
General obstetrician/gynecologists, or general OB/GYNs, are providers of routine care for women?s reproductive health. They offer regular checkups and preventative care to detect illnesses early and keep women healthy. A general OB/GYN cares for a variety of health issues, including:
Sexually transmitted diseases
Annual breast exams
After the age of 18, it is important to see a general OB/GYN regularly for preventative care as well as any needed pregnancy care. When necessary, general OB/GYNs may refer their patients to related specialists such as a Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist or Reproductive Endocrinologist. However, women without complicated health issues may continue to see their general OB/GYN for care throughout their reproductive life.
