I had the worst experience with the NP that I saw a few times. I went for an annual well woman exam was charged almost $200 for a test that was apparently not covered in the annual physical. There was no explanation beforehand or when I got the bill. The office staff that I reached out to, to rectify the issue actually told me to email a photo of the pathology bill, which I did and then she proceeded to email me back asking to update the diagnose code. She emailed about my personal information to the wrong person, it was supposed to go to the billing department of the office. I was also went in for ankle pain a few weeks later and the same NP told me to get blood work done for possible gout. She insisted I test for it even though I assured her it most likely was not the issue. When I asked her to add a Covid-19 antibody test on my lab requisition, she asked me why I needed it and if it came back negative she wouldn’t give me a booster. I told her I wasn’t expecting a booster from her and would just like to know for some peace of mind, since I do work in healthcare. She then told me “I’ll just order the test if you’re going to be upset about it.” I have never experienced such terrible bedside manner ever and this was the straw that broke the camels back. I have not been back since and will look for another provider.
