Worst time of my life. Had breast lift/reduction with dr Haworth , I originally wanted replace my implants or just a lift , he recommended me the galaflex mesh ( saying it’s natural product which is not, it’s synthetic) with fat transfer, saying it’s better and less painful etc. Of course you trust what your doctor recommends. I was promised easy surgery 5 hours max and he said I wouldn’t even need aftercare, well the surgery was about 10 - 12 hours, he had problems with mesh etc and had redo things over and over , that’s what the nurse told us. When I woke up I thought I was gonna die from pain . I couldn’t even breathe , I knew something was wrong from beginning , of course we couldn’t reach him til the morning. The pain didn’t stop for weeks , I usually recover very fast , I’m healthy and young , I had surgeries with implants before and never had any problems or this kinda pain in my life . The infection started right away, the breasts just wouldn’t heal , everyone could tell , I have many friends in medical work too who were really concerned. All other docs who saw me said I needed ER Asap to take the mesh out and IV antibiotics , Haworth and his staff ignored it , kept saying it’s all looking fine and part of the normal healing processes and I’m gonna end up with great breasts . Later we also found out that they didn’t give me muscle relaxer to take and I talked to several women who been infected by him . Last time I saw him , he decided to sew my infected scars under Demerol shot together in his office , charge me extra for that and then let me drive from LA to OC all loopy . After that he suddenly had to go to Europe and transferred me to wound care because another doctor told him to do that actually. When I got to wound center they were shocked, I had fever and was about to lose my nipple and my breasts tissue, they told me. They immediately took the stitches he did out , took blood work and found several serious infections one can be deadly if hits your blood stream . Same day I was hospitalized for a week then again for another week months later and needed 4 surgeries after to basically save my life at this point not even get my breasts to look some kinda ok …My surgery was in may and I was still in recovery in November, it was horrific . I was on wound vacuum therapy and iV antibiotics, pain killers for months , couldn’t work , my heath went down the hill , all that could have been much easier if they did aftercare the right way and admitted I was infected faster and did blood work ( which they never did ) . The wound doctor confirmed if they took the mesh out sooner I wouldn’t be this horribly infected and already spread in my skin . Dr Haworth came off as cocky and gave the impression that these complications weren’t his responsibility.  His aftercare approach was cold and detached.  No one on his staff seemed concerned in direct proportion to the seriousness of my complications. I now had to redo them a year later , I had no pain, the aftercare was right . The surgery was 3 hours and it’s all great . Would not recommend this to anyone. Stay away .
