"Dr. Lee has been my son's pediatrician from 2004 - 2020 and we were so blessed God gave her to us. We were able to make appointments, office staff very helpful and friendly, and for the most part in lieu of extra care needed for a patient, always timely. Dr. Lee spends time with your child asking plenty of questions to give the best care possible. In 2018, my son was in a horrific car accident, air lifted to Loma Linda Hospital where he stayed in the PICU for 25 days. I phoned Dr. Lee's office and she promptly returned my call after seeing the details on mychart. She continued to call me for updates and even came to visit him and us bedside. Her care continued when he was released until he recently aged out. If you want a doctor who goes above and beyond, choose Dr. Lee. We are extremely grateful for her and her care so I say 5 stars plus!"
"Terrible staff. They offer nothing but attitude when questioned about my own child's medical record. Fail to update personal file so phone number on record is outdated. Appointments are 1 month out, ALWAYS. Doctor spends less than 5 minutes with us. Makes us feel like we are an inconvenience."
General Pediatrics is defined simply as the medical care of children and adolescents. It is one of the broadest specialties, delivering care to patients from birth through young adulthood, and encompassing everything from preventive health to the management of acute and chronic illness. Pediatricians care for the physical, emotional, behavioral, developmental, and social problems that affect children and teens.
A general pediatrician has a wide variety of responsibilities, including:
The management and treatment of illnesses and injuries
Discouraging the spread of serious illness in children, through education and vaccination
Monitoring patients' physical and developmental growth
Performing routine health screenings
Promoting a healthy lifestyle
Guiding parents in all areas of parenting, from offering reassurance to giving advice on everything related to their child, such as feeding, safety, and education
Perhaps more than any other patient group, children are products of the environment in which they live. Because of this, pediatricians don't just treat kids -- they treat communities and families as well. They often become advocates for children and for children's rights. General pediatricians are physicians dedicated to the health and well-being of young people.
