What is Microdermabrasion?

Microdermabrasion is a treatment that uses gentle abrasion to remove the old, uneven, dull outer layer of skin on the face, neck, or hands. It may also thicken collagen in underlying tissue, giving skin a tighter and smoother appearance. Professional microdermabrasion is a more significant procedure than exfoliation performed at home and should only be done by a properly trained professional.
